This is the project we were given over the break. Our goal was to take a Greek Myth and bring it into present day. So I chose the story of Hephaestus and I transformed it into a present day biker gang theme (kinda like the Hells Angels). These are the rough character designs. This was definitely one of my favorite projects

This is the latest project I am working on. It is based off of the book "THE ABANDONED". It is the story of a 10 year old kid that, due to a tragic event, wakes up as a cat.

It's been a nice/ relaxing summer thus far. Been a while since I posted so I thought I would throw something out there. This is a tattoo idea I did for someone. Painted it in photoshop. I like the way it turned out.

So this is our latest project. We were supposed to choose an animal and give it a human job. So I chose a moose and made him a pool boy. Fun project, but this one needs a little more time.

So I am back in Visual Development and this is our first project. Based off of the story called "The Green Knight",we were supposed to take the story which was based around King Arthur and the Knights of the round table, and adapt it to either Vikings, Prohibition Gangsters, or Samurai's. So I went the gangster route.

So this is one of my final renders for my character. Posed, textured, etc. This is one of the the harder classes I have taken simply because I am still learning the nuances of MAYA. Now that I got through it and I can get back to visual development. Enjoy.

So this is it..or should I say "THING" (I know thats not funny). Done with the texturing for the most part. I still have to rig him and pose him. I guess he turned out alright. I got a bit carried away when I did my original concept and wasn't able to do all the facial characteristics I wanted to do.

This is a rough pass at texturing. I was just trying a bunch of rock textures that I made in ZBrush. I am texturing the entire body in the next couple days as well as sculpting out the anatomy.

Here is some new work. The assignment was to transform yourself into the comic character 'THING". So this is me as him. Turned out pretty good. We weren't supposed to make it look like a comic, more on the realistic side.

So this is a new project I am doing. It is for a Conceptual Illustration class. The premise is, as a class we are making a childrens alphabet book. I randomly chose the letter 'M', so I comprised a sentence using as many 'M' Words as I could. I came up with ' Mothers making mysterious meatballs with mammoth sized mice on monday morning'. I know, but hey it's a kids book. I start painting it 2maro. Should be fun.
